Everything You Need,
In One Room

What the club is, how to put it on your phone, how to use it, and the questions we are asked most. No password, no sign-in — read it before you apply, or keep it open beside you on your first round.

I · The Club

Golf is a game of honor.
Membership here is earned.

Six Deep is a closed room. Ten thousand Founding seats — the foundation of the club — and then the door closes. A place at this table is not bought. It is earned. By reference. By record. By the way a player carries themselves on a course when no one is watching the card.

What we ask in return is simple — respect. For the game. For your scorecard. For the company you keep. We track the rounds that matter — birdies, eagles, aces, albatrosses — on the strength of every member's word, because no lesser system would be worthy of this room.

The Room

  1. Not a scoring app
We are the register of players whose word can be trusted with the card.
  2. One door
Membership is by application, by reference, by record. There is no other.
  3. Then it closes
The Register closes at ten thousand. After that, it stays closed.
★ The Register

Founding membership is capped at 10,000 and awarded by application. Your number and your rate are locked for life. Player and Scratch tiers open to the public at launch.

Put It On Your Home Screen

Six Deep is a web app, so there is nothing to download and no App Store to wait on. Adding it to your home screen gives you the full-screen app — your own icon, no browser chrome, and it opens the way any other app on your phone does.

  1. Open in Safari
Go to app.sixdeep.golf. This has to be Safari — Chrome on iPhone cannot add to the home screen.
  2. Tap Share
The arrow in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Add to Home Screen
Scroll the sheet down. It sits below the bookmark options.
  4. Tap Add
Top right. The icon lands on your home screen.
  5. Open it from the icon
Sign in once and stay signed in. Opening from the icon — not the browser — is what gives you the full-screen app.
★ Android

Chrome offers Install app or Add to Home screen from the three-dot menu. Same result, fewer steps.

III · Using It

Logging, Scoring, Your Card, The Feed

Logging a round

  1. Pick the course
Over 24,000 courses are bundled in. If yours is missing, add it — members earn credit for adding courses, scanning scorecards, and verifying details.
  2. Log as you play, or after
Enter it hole by hole while you are out there, or scan the scorecard when you finish. A round in progress is kept for you if you close the app mid-round.
  3. Mark what mattered
Birdies, eagles, aces and albatrosses are the events the club keeps. Everything else is round history.
  4. Save
The round joins your card, updates your stats, and appears to the members who follow you.

The four events

These four, always. They are what the register is for.

−1
Birdie
One under par
−2
Eagle
Two under par
1
Ace
Hole in one
−3
Albatross
Three under par

Your card

Your card is the running record — every sub-par event you have logged, the courses you have tamed, your streaks, and the achievement badges you have earned. It is lifetime, not seasonal. Your member number and tier badge sit beside your name everywhere in the club.

The feed

The feed shows the rounds of the members you follow. Follow someone and their birdies, eagles, aces and albatrosses roll in as they log them. It is the part of the club that makes a Tuesday round worth telling someone about.

★ Your rounds follow you

Sign in with your PIN on any device and your card, rounds and badges come with you. The same PIN on a new phone is the same member — there is nothing to transfer.

IV · FAQ

Questions We Are Asked

How do I sign in?

With your email address or your member number, plus a 4-digit PIN you choose the first time you open the app. On a phone that supports it, Face ID unlocks it after that.

What if I forget my PIN?

Email info@sixdeep.golf and we will reset it for you. There is no self-service reset today — it is a person on our end, on purpose, because the PIN is what proves a card is yours.

Do my rounds sync between my phone and my iPad?

Yes. Your PIN derives your identity, so the same PIN and email on a second device is the same member. Rounds, your card, achievements, what is in your bag and your linked handles all come across.

Sync needs you to be signed in. If you are using the app signed out, everything is held on that device until you sign in, and then it uploads.

What happens if I clear my browser data?

Anything already synced comes back when you sign in again. Sign in first, before you clear anything, if you have been playing signed out.

Does Six Deep post my scores to GHIN?

Not automatically. The USGA publishes no public score-posting API, so Six Deep hands the score off rather than transmitting it: from Round Detail, Post to GHIN copies a clean summary of the round and opens the GHIN app for you to paste and confirm. It takes a few seconds, and the post stays yours to complete.

Your index is manual for now as well. Profile → Handicap & GHIN, and type the number your GHIN portal shows; edits save instantly and display everywhere. Nothing logged in Six Deep reaches the USGA on its own, and your index does not recompute from it. The deeper integration is still being built, and this page will say so when that changes.

What does membership cost?

Player is $15 a month or $120 a year. Scratch is $25 a month or $240 a year and adds access to member events. Founding is annual only — the current cohort is $360 a year, locked for life at the rate you join at.

What is a cohort, and why does the price change?

Founding seats are released in cohorts. Cohort I is numbers 001 through 500 at $360 a year. When 500 is claimed, Cohort I closes and the rate steps up permanently for everyone after — but never for anyone already in. Your rate is fixed at the cohort you joined, for as long as you stay.

Can I join without applying?

Founding membership is by application, reviewed personally. Player and Scratch tiers open to the public at launch and do not need an application.

When can I actually pay and join?

Founding is by application, and applications are open now. Each one is reviewed personally, and an approval carries the invitation to complete membership. The Founding rate is never sold through a public checkout — that is what application-only means.

Player and Scratch are live. Both bill monthly or annually at the rates above, and checkout opens from inside the app once you are signed in — Profile → Compare Tiers. Both tiers open to the public at launch.

Is there a free trial?

No. There is no free tier and no free trial at launch. Membership is the product.

Is there an iPhone app in the App Store?

No, by choice. Six Deep is a web app you add to your home screen — see the Install section above. It behaves like any other app once it is there, and it means we answer to our members rather than to a review queue.
